If you have ever wondered how to get more from those precious minutes spent talking with an intuitive counselor or psychic advisor, please read on. Before logging in, a good reader spends at least a few minutes preparing themselves for the varied and often stressful barrage of upset and confused callers, but there is no denying that a better-focused caller is sure to have a better result from their reading.

All too often callers are stressed and in a hurry, thus creating a lot of psychic “static” that makes it more difficult for a reader to find the answers the person is so anxiously seeking. Another frequent problem is the caller holding a bias about what the advisor “should” tell them (thinking they know what form the answers should take). To save yourself and your reader frustration and wasted time, and to help you get the most from your readings, here are some important tips.

Before you pick up the phone, here are some things you can do to help ensure that your psychic or spiritual reading will be of maximum value to you:

1. To the best of your ability, clear your environment of distractions. A blaring television, barking dogs, yelling children or even the presence of other people in the room will interfere with your concentration—and the reader’s as well. Treat this as a consultation which deserves your full attention.

2. Allow sufficient time to get some real help and insight. People who call up with an attitude of impatience (or worse, “testing”) are already blocking the reader’s ability to help them. What the reader will pick up most strongly is that attitude!

3. Remember that a genuine psychic is a person, not a machine, and it may take a few moments to tune in. If your concern is important enough for you to call about it for help, then it is also important enough for you to take the time to receive some real insight. The best readers not only predict, they also offer suggestions for things you can do to improve your situation. This, too, takes time.

4. Take a few deep breaths and relax as much as you can. This may be a challenge if you are worried or upset, but even making the effort will go a long way toward putting you in the right frame of mind to connect with your reader.

5. Take your thoughts off all outside concerns, and put your attention on the matter for which you would like help or insight. Ask yourself what specific benefit you would like to gain from your reading. If you have several questions or concerns, it would be a good idea to write them down.

6. Try to keep an open mind about the information which will be given to you. The answers you need may well take a different form than you expect. Often a good reader will uncover the real root problem under the client’s original concern.

7. This is highly recommended: in your own way, surround yourself with positive energy and form a clear intention to play an active role in healing your situation. A good reader helps you to help yourself; the more you are aligned with creating a positive outcome the better your results will be.

8. When you feel ready to receive new insight, call the reader of your choice and tell them clearly what kind of help you are seeking. This will help to focus things quickly for both of you.

Blessings and best wishes!
