Happy Thanksgiving!

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

Whether you live in the USA or elsewhere, today is a great day to count your blessings. Every day is a good day to count your blessings, but there’s something especially empowering about joining in with all the other folks whose hearts are lifted in gratitude. Even if your spirits are low, simply making the effort will be of help to you.

Are you able to read this page? If so, then you have a host of blessings which should never be taken for granted: You have access to a computer. You can see. Chances are that you also have the use of your hands, if you navigated to this site without assistance. Your brain is working pretty well if you can read and understand this text. I’ll let you take it from there.

Most of us take for granted a host of daily wonders and miracles — basic good health, ready access to food, clean water, safe transportation — and tend to focus only on those areas which are in need of improvement. Let’s reverse that trend today, and focus on what’s right about ourselves and our lives. It may be the single most important step we can take to begin improving our conditions.

Here’s a greeting that I created for you. Enjoy, and happy Thanksgiving!

Blessings and Peace,

Avalonne

If this describes some of the key people in your life, read on.
